Two-time Olympic judo champion and native Middletonian, Kayla Harrison, credits Middletown City Schools to her success as an athlete! “One of the things that really helped shape me into the woman I am is at the (Middletown) school system they always had a saying of ‘make it a great day,’” Harrison said. Recently, Harrison came home to open her new martial arts studio in Middletown on 1725 Yankee Road. Her next stop will be Las Vegas as she prepares for her semifinal matchup on October 11 for the Professional Fighters League.

Kayla Harrison is one of many Middletown City School success stories; relating her achievements to her experience in our schools. Our district strives to bring out the best in all our students so they may excel in life outside of school. Congratulations Kayla on all your success!
