As you know, there has been an increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in our area. Beginning Monday, December 7 through Friday, December 18, students of the Middletown Middle School will move to a fully remote learning model. Students enrolled in the Virtual Learning Platform will continue learning as normal.

As you know, there has been a recent increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in our area. Starting tomorrow, December 3 through Friday, December 18, all MHS students (A-Z) will have classes in a fully remote learning setting. After the holiday break, we will return to our hybrid model (A-L Monday and Tuesday, M-Z Thursday and Friday). The first day back is January 5, 2021.

Beginning Wednesday, November 4, 2020, students of the Middletown Middle School will move to a fully remote learning model. The building will be closed tomorrow, Monday, November 2 and students will not attend class--remotely or in-person--while the staff transitions back to remote learning. We received notice that the test results of a Middletown High School football coach has been confirmed as positive by the City of Middletown Health Department. All MHS JV and Varsity football workouts and competitions will be cancelled so the health department can conduct contact tracing and the exposed facilities can be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. When making these decisions, we follow the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Return to Play guidelines and the Middletown Health Department guidelines.

Today, October 1, 2020, due to improving public health data, the Middletown Board of Education determined that our city has made significant improvements related to the mitigation of COVID-19. Thanks to this good news, Middletown City Schools will begin transitioning students back to in-person instruction beginning on Monday, October 19, 2020.
