Middletown City School District today announced Diana Bogotay as the new varsity swim coach at Middletown High School, pending board approval. Bogotay previously served as Assistant Swim Coach for Middletown High School.

"We are ecstatic to retain Coach Bogotay and promote her as the next leader of the swimming program at Middletown High School. Coach Bogotay brings a comprehensive background in swimming, especially at the club level. Being a teacher at our high school will allow her to continue to foster positive relationships with our student-athletes while helping increase the interest in the program in our school and community.  I know she's ready to take over the reigns of the program and have an immediate impact to the quality of programming we can offer our students." said Aaron Zupka, Athletic Director at Middletown High School.

Bogotay's swimming career began at four years of age. She swam for multiple clubs and has won numerous championship competing in a myriad of races while in high school, providing her an unique, versatile perspective in competition.

"I am excited for the opportunity to interact and help MHS students outside of the classroom," said Diana Bogotay.

This is Bogotay's second year in Middletown City School District where she serves as an English teacher at the high school.
