Math Pilot Staff and Community Feedback
The Curriculum and Innovation department has been working collaboratively with 6-12 math teachers and students across the district to identify materials (Grades 6-12) that will best meet the needs of both staff and students. A pilot of McGraw Hill’s Reveal Math and Learnzillion’s Illustrative Math has been conducted in various classrooms over the past few months to collect much needed information to help make the final determination. This included collecting feedback from both students and staff through the use of rubrics and surveys.
Over the next two weeks, March 22-April 2, the Curriculum and Innovation department is seeking feedback from staff members that did not take part in the pilot and from families and community members.
The math materials will be on display on the 4th floor of One Donham Plaza for individuals to preview and provide feedback. We thank you for this feedback as it is crucial that all stakeholders have a voice in this collaborative process.
