Hey Middie Seniors! Have you chosen to go to college and your Major will be Music Education or Musical Theatre?  Then send your resume/bio sheet to Ms. Wilson in the Guidance Office. You will have the opportunity to win a scholarship. 

 

The Rise Mentoring & After School program is having open gyms conducted by a dance instructor to help any interested students in learning the dance portion for the MHS Cheerleading tryouts next week. It is a come & go as you wish from 2:30- 4:00 and will be located in the cafeteria. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Daniels in the Rise offices located in the cafeteria or Ms. Wandsnider in room 73

 

 

The Middletown High School Color Guard will be holding audition clinics beginning next week for the fall season. The MHS Color Guard has had great success over the past 10 years winning countless awards and earning superior ratings and state championships. If you are looking for a fun and fulfilling activity for the fall come to the clinics on Monday April 19 and Thursday April 22 from 6-9pm in the Middle School Gym. No previous experience is needed. Here is the info you’ve been waiting for!  Prom is on!  Prom will be held Saturday May 1st in the Walker Gym at MHS from 8-11pm.  We are so excited!  But, there are several protocols the MUST be followed.  Please listen/read carefully so that we can have a wonderful prom but remain safe and healthy.

  1. Prom will be scheduled from 8-11pm.  If you arrive before the doors are open, you must wait in your car.  While waiting to enter, you must maintain social distancing.
  2. Masks are REQUIRED at all times
  3. The prom is for the junior and senior class only.  NO Freshman, sophomores or students from other schools will be permitted into the dance.  No one from outside the junior and senior class will be permitted. This means no brothers or sisters or cousins.
  4. Dancing will be permitted.  Please maintain social distancing. 
  5. Sanitizing and hand washing will be expected.
  6. Students should assess health before arriving at prom.  Temperatures will be taken at the door.
  7. Tickets will be sold the week of April 26th-30th during lunch.  Absolutely no tickets will be sold after C lunch for any reason.  You MUST have a ticket to enter the dance. Tickets are $25 each
  8. All food will be prepackaged and must be eaten in the cafeteria only
  9. Crowning for Prom King and Queen will be at 10pm.  Parents will pick up student promptly at 11pm
  10. If you leave the dance/go outside, you may not re-enter.
  11. There will be NO after prom
  12. If you become ill after prom or test positive for covid, you must report this to the nurse or attendance office
  13. Prom is a formal/semi formal event.  You should dress appropriately.
