Attention Philosophy Club members! Our club yearbook picture RETAKE will be taken Thursday, March 5th at 2:45pm in room 247. Please wear your club shirts and get in the yearbook picture this coming Thursday. Even if you can't stay for the club meeting, get in the picture!
Juniors: The application deadline for the senior Career Experience internship class has been extended to today. If you have not turned in your application to Mrs. Lawson in room 232, you must do so by 2:15 to still be considered for the program. Do not miss out on this awesome opportunity!

Black History Month:
Born November 24, 1914 in Hickory, Virginia Bessie Blount Griffin was self taught to obtain her GED. She then attended Community Kennedy Memorial Hospital's nurse's program. After obtaining her Nursing degree, she continued her education at Panzer College of Physical Education and Hygiene in East Orange, New Jersey and became a physical therapist. Blount a known inventor for the field of Physical Therapy invented an electric self-feeding apparatus to help amputees feed themselves. She was quoted saying "Black woman can invent something for the benefit of mankind" Blount died at the age of 95 on December 30, 2009 in Newfield, New Jersey.
