With the start of the 2022-2023 school year, the Middletown City School District (MCSD) Board of Education is following standard procedures for public business meetings. Work Session Board meetings are generally held on the second Monday of each month and Business Board meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month. Meetings are held at 6:30 PM at Central Office in the City Building (One Donham Plaza, 4th Floor, Middletown, OH), unless otherwise noted. At this time, all individuals over two years of age in MCSD school buildings and indoor facilities are required to wear face coverings over the mouth and nose.
The Board of Education supports public comment and participation at public business meetings. Community members are required to fill out a comment card in advance to speak during the public comment portion of the meeting.
In accordance with Board Policy, each speaker may speak for up to three (3) minutes. A maximum of 30 minutes of public participation may be permitted at each meeting (MCSD Policies: KD). Speakers should introduce themselves, identify whether they are speaking as individuals or on behalf of an organization, and may provide a copy of their comments for further consideration by the Board members. Speakers may address any topic concerning MCSD, except personnel or student matters that clearly identify an individual or individuals. In the event that the number of speakers exceeds the capacity of the room with physical distance, speakers will be rotated in and out of the meeting room.
